Three months ago, as I considered my 2017 Blog Post plan, I picked up The Top Ten Leadership Commandments by Hans Finzel. I found this book to be particularly intriguing since it focuses on leadership lessons from the life of Moses, who was such a key player in God’s delivery of The Ten Commandments.
I immediately resonated with Finzel’s sentiment when he said, “I write books on leadership not because I consider myself a great leader but because I want to become a better leader.” That’s a big reason why I read so many books on leadership and why I continue to blog about my lessons from them. I, too, want to become a better leader!
Finzel encourages leaders not to cling to your position. Instead, pave the way for future leaders. As Christ followers, we can learn a lot from Moses, the “man of God.”
