We generally spend time during Christmas break in Jennifer’s small west-Texas hometown of Lamesa. I enjoy the visit, as the pace of life allows us to slow down and focus on family. I also generally have time to read. Three years ago, I read Bob Briner and Ray Pritchard’s The Leadership Lessons of Jesus.
The lessons are a compilation of seventy-five short readings, revealing the individual techniques that made Christ’s leadership so powerful. As Amazon.com notes, the authors use the Gospel of Mark to highlight methods that can influence your work, church, or family and change your life. Briner and Pritchard explain that they chose the Gospel of Mark because it is preeminently the “Gospel of action.”
