During this fifth month of the year, I continue my focus on the fifth of the Ten Commandments, which says, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”
As my last post attests, I often write here about the influence of my Dad on my leadership style and effectiveness, and I am grateful for his example, encouragement, and support. But I’ve learned a lot about life and leadership from my Mom as well.
Today, as we celebrate Mother’s Day 2017, I reflect on five of my favorite takeaways from my Mom’s life and influence that have shaped me into the husband, father, leader, and man I am today.
