In his post on meetingwithchrist.com, Dr. Yves I-Bing Cheng points out that if we put the 9 Beatitudes side by side with the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5, we find the following connections:
In his book entitled The Beatitudes, Arthur W. Pink points out that Jesus’ was instructing both believers and unbelievers alike. He claims, “These Beatitudes form one portrait. When an artist draws a picture, each line may be graceful and masterful, but it is the union of the lines that reveals their mutual relation; it is the combination of the various artistic delineations and minute touches that gives us the complete portrait.”
I appreciated Pink’s study of The Ten Commandments last year, and his perspectives on The Beatitudes are worth considering.
