The Bible on Good Communication Skills

Weeks 24 & 25 of the NIV Leadership Bible focus on communication skills. Communication is essential to leadership. We must continue to develop our abilities to communicate well. The first step is understanding that communication is a means, not an end.

Leaders must also recognize that communication always occurs in a relationship, though that relationship may range from intimate to casual or hostile; familiar or estranged; trusting or suspicious. So, one step to improving your communication skills is to build relationships with people.

And you can build communication skills of listening, speaking, and understanding by following a variety of advice and examples from the Bible.

Mikaela Pyle: A Hard-Working, Achieving Next Generation Leader

Last November, I wondered, “Who are our future leaders…who will keep this country great?” I even referred to the May 2013 Time Magazine Cover entitled “The Me Me Me Generation”, describing the kids of today as “lazy” (Click here for that post).

This past weekend, I was honored to celebrate my niece’s graduation. And if she has anything to do with it, the future of this country is bright! Mikaela Pyle was Valedictorian of Denton (Texas) Guyer’s High School, and she’s earned a flute scholarship to Baylor University.
