Bill Hybels—founding and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois, which has been recognized as the most influential church in America for several years—began using the term “simplify.” How do we simplify our lives? He saw how the very word seemed to energize people, so he wrote a book Simplify: Ten Practices to Unclutter Your Soul.
In the book, Hybels points out that simplified living is about more than just doing less. It’s being who God called us to be, with a wholehearted, single-minded focus.
