I recently attended the funeral service of a friend, who lived a life of service to the very end. In fact, his eulogy noted that he lived by what Jesus taught: Love God and Love Others.
He was 84 years old, much like my father-in-law, who passed away from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Dr. Wayne Smith “taught us how to live, love, and leave” according to his pastor’s eulogy.
As I write this, I’m nearing my 54th birthday, so I’m thinking about my next thirty years…
In my book Out of This World Leadership: Living the Fruit of the Spirit to Lead Well (Do you have your copy yet?), my last leadership tip is an encouragement to “Prepare for the Future.” I encourage leaders to make a plan, but stay open to the possibilities.
With these recent developments, I recognized the need to build my 30-Year Plan.
