God adds people to church bodies for a reason. He wants to use your life to make a positive difference among the people where He has placed you.

God created the church to be unlike any other human organization. It is a living body, created by Christ (Matthew 16:18), and Christ is its head (Colossians 1:18). Through the church, God intends to extend His kingdom throughout the earth. God’s activity in the church, therefore, is crucial to every believer. It is essential that every Christian be an active member of a local church.

Every congregation is important to Christ, and each one has a particular assignment from the Lord. The church is a place where we can tangibly experience the love of God. It’s unfortunate when people say, “I would become a Christian if it wasn’t for the church.”

The world doesn’t just need to see Christians trying to be good for God. They need to see something in Christians that only God can do.

If God put a burden on you, don’t leave to find a church filled with people like you. Assume God added you to the body to work through you to equip the church.
